Discontinuation of studies is formalized through a Rector’s Decree, which declares that a student has officially withdrawn or been dismissed from IPB. The discontinuation of studies is classified into three categories: (1) voluntary withdrawal, (2) dismissal (dropout), and (3) death, all of which are recorded in a Rector’s Decree each semester. Voluntary withdrawal occurs when a student submits a formal request to their respective Study Program/Department. Meanwhile, dismissal (dropout) and discontinuation due to death are determined based on institutional decisions.
