Violations and Sanctions

  1. Academic sanctions are imposed on students in multidegree programs who violate the rules and regulations in effect at IPB in accordance with Rector Regulation number 45 of 2025. Academic sanctions may include: a) Verbal warnings or reprimands; b) Written warnings; c) Inactive student status determined by a Dean’s Decree; and d) Termination of studies for IPB students, determined by a Rector’s Decree.
  2. Types of violations that may result in academic sanctions include: a) Violations of Rector’s regulations related to education administration; b) Academic fraud, such as falsification of academic documents; c) Violations of classroom and examination regulations; d) Acts of plagiarism; e) Misuse of information technology; and f) Engagement in unlawful activities.
  3. The obligation to pay tuition fees (UKT) still applies to students who are inactive, and the period during which the student is under inactive sanctions is counted towards the study period. Students are required to complete UKT payments according to the bill before applying for reactivation.
  4. Inactive students who wish to resume their studies must settle their UKT (tuition fee) payments according to their billing amount. Their inactive status will still be counted as part of their study period.
  5. PKU students who take a leave of absence for two consecutive semesters and remain inactive in the following semester will also be subject to dismissal from IPB (Drop Out), determined by a Rector’s Decree.
