End-of-Academic-Year Evaluation

End-of-Academic-Year Evaluation

The annual academic performance evaluation is conducted at the end of each academic year. This evaluation includes all courses taken by students that align with the study load package set for that academic year, using the GPA formula (IP).

The academic performance evaluation for students at the end of each academic year is outlined in Table S.2 as follows:

Table Q.2. Academic Performance Assessment at the End of Each Year

Evaluation Period Grade Point Average (GPA) Study Continuation Status
End of Academic Year GPA ≥ 2.00 - without an E grade Continue
1.50 < GPA < 2.00 Repeat
GPA ≤ 1.50 Dismissed

Repeat

refers to students who must retake specific courses at the same level due to not meeting the required standards in the year-end academic evaluation. Courses that must be retaken include those with D and E grades or at least three courses from that semester. The final grade considered in the GPA calculation will be the best grade obtained after repeating the course.

Continue

refers to students who are deemed eligible to proceed to the next level of education after an academic year-end evaluation.

Dismissed/Drop Out

refers to students who are deemed ineligible to continue their education at IPB.

1. The first-year academic evaluation is conducted by the Directorate of General Competency Education (DPKU), while subsequent evaluations of student academic status will be fully carried out by the respective Faculties/Schools. The student performance evaluation process can be seen in Table S.3.

2. In addition to GPA-based evaluation, the minimum number of earned credits during the evaluation period is also considered, as outlined in Table S.4.
