Transfer Students from Other Universities
- Transfer to IPB University from another higher education institution is permitted, subject to consideration of the reasons for transfer as stated by the home institution’s leadership. For transfers from HEIs within Indonesia, the following criteria must be met: the study program at the home institution must have a minimum accreditation rating of “Baik Sekali” (Excellent), the applicant’s academic background must align with the intended study program, the applicant must demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.50), the intended study program must have available capacity, and the applicant must have completed at least four (4) semesters at the home institution.
- Transfer applications must be submitted to the Rector of IPB University through the Rector of the home institution. For students transferring from overseas institutions, applications must be submitted through the Rector of the home institution or a sponsoring entity. The application must include the student’s identity documents, supporting letters explaining the reasons for the transfer, and academic performance records.
- The Rector of IPB University may approve or reject transfer applications based on recommendations from the Dean/Head of School, taking into account the suitability of the applicant’s background with the intended study program, academic eligibility, and program capacity.
- Admitted transfer students will have their study load and duration determined through an equivalency evaluation conducted by the respective faculty/department. The evaluation results will be formalized in a Dean’s Decree.
- Accepted transfer students must complete at least 50% of the total credit requirements at IPB University or study for a minimum of four (4) semesters at IPB.
- Students accepted through transfer must complete the registration process for the designated semester, following the applicable procedures and requirements.
- Transfer student applications are processed during the new student admission period for the ongoing academic year.
- The administrative process for student transfers is coordinated by the Directorate of Academic Administration and Student Admissions (DAPPMB/Direktorat Administrasi Pendidikan dan Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru).
