Enrichment Course Component in the 2020 Curriculum Structure

Enrichment Courses (EC) are curricular components within the 2020 Curriculum that encompass a variety of activities, both courses and non-courses, organized by academic units, other implementing units, or external partners outside the student’s home study program.

The forms of non-courses enrichment activities may include competitions (national or international), summer courses, conferences and seminars, entrepreneurship programs, community services, talent development (e.g., arts, sports), internships, competency certification, leadership and organizational involvement, and other activities that can be credited and recognized as equivalent to academic courses.

While the course-based EC consists of:

a. Mobility and Competency Development Cluster

including non-exchange student mobility activities at national and international levels, such as summer courses, conferences, seminars, training programs, and certified competencies.

b. Competition Cluster (National and International).

It covers student participation in competitions or contests held at national or international levels.

c. Talent, Interest, and Community Service Cluster;

Encompasses activities focused on personal development such as sports, arts, nature exploration, scouting, and similar interests facilitated through Student Activity Units or equivalent organizations; as well as community service activities such as village empowerment, teaching assistance, humanitarian efforts, and more.

d. Entrepreneurship and Leadership Cluster;

includes activities aimed at developing student entrepreneurship, such as student entrepreneur programs, startup development, entrepreneurial internships; and leadership development activities such as serving in student organizations (intra- and extra-campus), leadership dormitory programs, and mentoring for high-achieving students.

e. Other clusters based on the type of activities;

it covers additional activities that may be categorized separately, such as Healthy Lifestyle programs.
