a) Assessment in one semester consists of three components: (1) participatory activities, (2) project results, and (3) cognitive or knowledge-based evaluation (assignments, quizzes, mid-term exams (UTS), and final exams (UAS)). UTS and UAS must be conducted at least twice. The assessment composition aligns with the learning methods outlined in the Semester Learning Plan (RPS).
b) UTS and UAS are conducted by the course lecturer according to the exam schedule issued by DAPPMB.
c) Examinations may be conducted using the following methods: (1) Paper-based written exams; (2) Online exams via LMS; (3) Online exams via platforms other than LMS; (4) Assignments/projects.
d) Students are eligible to take the UAS of a course if they have attended at least 80% of the lectures (11 out of 14 sessions) and 100% of the practical sessions/responsi, except for those assigned special duties by IPB leadership. For absences due to valid reasons, lecturers may assign special tasks as a substitute.
e) For study programs using a block system, students must attend at least 90% of the sessions for each exam period.
f) Students who, due to valid reasons, are unable to attend an exam on the scheduled date must notify the course lecturer in writing no later than the exam day and request an official exemption letter from the Head of Department/Vice Dean/Director of PKU, accompanied by supporting documents.
g) If a student has a scheduling conflict between a PKU/CCC (retake) course exam and another course, the PKU/CCC exam takes priority. If the conflict involves an ACC course, the ACC exam takes priority. A conflict occurs when two exams are scheduled at the same time on the same day.
h) Students who miss an exam due to valid reasons are entitled to a rescheduled exam.
i) Exam participants must be ready outside the exam room before the exam starts and may only enter when permitted by the exam proctor or as per the course coordinator’s instructions.
j) Exam participants must present their Student ID Card (physical or digital) and mark their attendance on the IPB mobile system. Students who fail to mark attendance are considered absent from the exam.
k) Students must wear neat, clean, and proper attire as per the Student Code of Conduct.
l) Exams are supervised by the course lecturer, assisted by teaching assistants or other proctors appointed by the course coordinator.
m) During the exam, students are strictly prohibited from engaging in academic dishonesty (copying, sharing answers, asking other students, or intimidating others
n) Students who finish their exam early must submit their work to the proctor and leave the room with permission.
o) Additional exam rules not covered in these guidelines will be announced by the proctor before the exam begins.
p) Any violation of exam regulations will be subject to sanctions based on the severity of the offense, as determined by the Faculty/School/PKU leadership.
