- A study period extension permit is granted by the Dean of the Faculty/School in the form of an official letter allowing students to complete their studies beyond the time limit specified in point M.2.a, provided they have valid reasons.
- The maximum extension period for Bachelor and Applied Bachelor programs is two (2) semesters, starting from the date the original study period limit ends, as specified in point M.2.a. The student’s final study completion deadline must align with the details stated in the extension approval letter.
- The maximum extension period for Postgraduate programs is one (1) semester, granted only to students with a good academic progress record.
- Requests for study period extensions must be submitted no later than two (2) months before the KRS-A course registration period for the following semester.
- The procedure for requesting a study period extension is as follows:
a. The request must be submitted in writing to the Dean of the Faculty/School, with a recommendation from the Head of the Department/Study Program and approval from the Academic Advisor;
b. The request must include a formal application letter for the extension, along with a statement letter and a study completion plan approved by the Academic Advisor and the Head of the Department/Study Program. - Students eligible for a study period extension must be active students in the ongoing semester (with full UKT payment) and must have completed all required coursework as mandated by their Department/Study Program. Additionally, they must submit a progress report and study plan.
- Students who have received an extension but fail to complete their studies within the granted extension period will be dismissed from IPB through a Rector’s Decree, based on considerations from the Dean of the Faculty/School.
