Meaning of Student Identification Number

The Student Identification Number (NIM) consists of 11 digits. It is structured based on the faculty/school, with details provided in Table L.1 below.

1 The faculty/school letter codes and the "X" code are designated for inbound/exchange students or those participating in a Credit Earning program for a minimum of one semester.
2 Department Codes in Faculties/Schools for Bachelor’s, Master's, and Doctoral Programs: For study programs organized by Faculties/Schools, the code is 0 (zero). Meanwhile, for Applied Bachelor’s programs, the code indicates the campus location (0 for Bogor campus, 1 for Sukabumi campus).
3 Educational Level Codes: 4 = Bachelor’s/Applied Bachelor’s Program; 5 = Master's Program; 6 = Doctoral Program; 9 = Professional Program
4 and 5 Study Program Code
6 and 7 Year of Admission
8 Admission Period
9-11 Student Serial Number
9-11 The last three digits represent the year of admission.
The student serial number is assigned based on specific student groups, as follows:

801 – 899 International Students
901 – 949 Transfer Students from Other Study Programs
951 – 959 Transfer Students from Other Universities
