Graduate Program

  1. Transfer between study programs is permitted under strong justifications and must meet the following conditions: (1) Both the original and the target study programs must approve the transfer; (2) The student must fulfill the applicable requirements; (3) Written approval must be obtained from the sponsoring institution or funding agency (if applicable); and (4) Sudent is allowed to transfer study programs only once.
  2. Master’s and Doctoral students applying for a study program transfer must meet the following requirements: (a) Must be an active student; (b) Must have completed at least one semester and a maximum of two semesters for the Master’s program (S2) and three semesters for the Doctoral program (S3); and (c)Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 for Master’s students and 3.00 for Doctoral students.
  3. The study period for students transferring to a new study program is calculated based on their initial enrollment in the IPB Graduate Program, not from the time they enter the new study program.
  4. Graduate students who were admitted under probationary status in the first semester and fail to meet the requirements to continue to the next semester may apply for a study program transfer, provided they meet the established transfer requirements.
  5. Students must download and complete the study program transfer form from the SPs website and submit it to SPs along with their previous semester’s transcript at least two weeks before the start of the semester.
  6. Students must submit the approved transfer form, signed by their supervisory committee, the head of the current and target study program, and the faculty/school leadership, before the semester begins.
  7. SPs will issue the study program transfer approval letter, signed by the Dean of SPs, within one week after the application is received, and no later than the KRS B period. The approval letter will then be forwarded to DAPPMB for further processing.
  8. SPs will distribute the study program transfer approval letter to the Faculty/School, the previous and new study programs, the student, and the supervisory committee.
  9. The number of transferable credits (SKS) will be determined by the head of the target study program, following its curriculum, and must be approved by the faculty/school leadership. Only courses with a minimum grade of B are eligible for transfer. The maximum transferable credits are 15 SKS for Master’s (S2) students and 12 SKS for Doctoral (S3) students.
