Bachelor’s Program

A) Students may request a transfer from one study program to another within IPB under the following conditions:

  1. The student experiences a shift in academic interest and meets the requirements for transferring to another study program;
  2. The student faces significant health and/or physical challenges that prevent them from continuing their studies in the current program, as evidenced by a medical certificate from a government hospital.

B) The requirements for transferring due to a change in academic interest, as stated in point (a.1), include: The student must have been admitted to IPB through the SNBT entrance exam or the IPB Independent Selection. The student must have completed a minimum of two (2) semesters and a maximum of four (4) semesters at IPB with a minimum GPA of 2.00. The student must fulfill all administrative and financial obligations as a new student.

C) The requirements for applying for a study program transfer in the Bachelor’s Program due to health or physical limitations are that the applicant must have completed at least two (2) effective semesters or four (4) semesters, including the General Competency Program (PKU), in their initial study program.

  1. In the case of a student transferring due to health reasons and/or physical limitations, the transfer request must be submitted to the Head of the Study Program/Department and forwarded to the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs through the Dean of the Faculty/School. The application must be accompanied by supporting documents, including a medical certificate from a government hospital, academic performance records, and a recommendation letter from an academic advisor, endorsed by the Head of the Department for bachelor’s programs and the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs for applied bachelor’s programs.
  2. The Dean, through the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, has the authority to approve or reject a program transfer request.
  3. The academic workload for students transferring programs is determined based on an evaluation of competency equivalence conducted by the faculty leadership upon the recommendation of the relevant department/study program.
  4. Courses previously taken in the former study program may be recognized as part of the new program’s curriculum based on the assessment of the department/study program overseeing the new program.
  5. Students applying for a program transfer must complete the registration process and pay tuition fees as required for new students. The application for a program transfer must be submitted during the online registration period.
  6. Students whose program transfer is approved must submit a resignation letter from their previous program to the faculty/school, which will then be forwarded to the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs.
  7. Upon receiving the student’s resignation letter, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, through DAPPMB, will issue a program transfer certificate along with a new student identification number (NIM) for the new program.
  8. The transfer of bachelor’s students from the International Class to the Regular Class, or vice versa, follows the program transfer regulations outlined in point 1.b.
